After School/Summer Camp
60 children are divided into four groups and rotate through stations: Homework, social emotional learning, fitness and reading. Upon completing this program they transition into the Junior Street Leader Program.
Junior Street Leaders
Ages 11- 15
The Junior Street Leader Program’s mission is to help heal and empower youth ages 11 to 15 to bridging the ultra high risks of Middle School. Curriculum includes life skills, CHAT/Therapy, homework, fitness, cooking, community service, outings, fun, leadership development, spiritual development and mentorship.
Street Leaders Program
The Street Leader Program employs high school students as counselors, tutors, and mentors for the children who attend our after school programs and summer camps. As a StreetLeader teens receive extensive job training, tutoring and the opportunity to make positives changes in their community.
CHAT (Connecting, Healing, and Achieving Together)
Collaborating with Wellspring Counseling, we are one of the only community-based after-school programs that offers free counseling and evaluative services on-site which is critical to overcoming trauma and negative influences for inner city children.
Healthy Eating and Physical Activity
We strive to teach our kids healthy eating, focus on wellness, physical activity, and nutrition through collaboration with Health in the Hood and Brutal Fitness Challenge.
Once a month, we encourage all of our teen staff to participate in an outing to help strengthen bonds and communication. These outings include such things as a movie night, a game night, a sports event, a dinner held at our site, etc.
To deliver our holistic model we have formed strategic partnerships with best in class providers to enable our site to be a hub for helping at risk youth beat the odds.
We are always looking to partner with companies who want to make an impact! If you'd like to learn more about becoming a partner, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Our Signature Partners
In June 2018 UPM partnered with Hope For Miami to run the after
school camp. All made possible through a generous grant from the
